Firefighters had to hoist a woman up a 100-foot embankment Thursday morning after she crashed her car off Highway 154, the Santa Barbara County Fire Department says.

The crash happened just after 11:40a.m. east of Painted Cave Road.

The Santa Barbara County Fire Department says firefighters used a rope system to rescue the driver.

She was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident.
