Generosity in the workplace can improve employee morale and productivity.
Researchers conducted several studies where workers were given a bonus to spend on a co-worker or charity of their choice. They found when employees gave money to others, the employees performed better as a team.
Researchers say employees felt more happiness and job satisfaction than when they spent the money on themselves.
