A Wounded Warrior is home in time for Thanksgiving.
Army Staff Sergeant Dominic Annecchini arrived to a warm welcome at the Santa Maria airport on Tuesday afternoon.
He's been deployed ten times -- four times to Iraq and six to Afghanistan.
Back in May, he was severely injured in an attack in Afghanistan.
"There was a barricaded shooter and he shot the guy in front of me, and I had to call up that we had a wounded and we had a barricaded shooter," explained Annecchini. "Last thing I remember was pulling security at the door. The next thing I remember was waking up in Germany."
Staff Sergeant Annecchini is the recipient of a Purple Heart and a Silver Star for Valor.
