The Olympics are here. That means, you're a gold medal winner if you adopt an animal from a local shelter.
It's time for Your Family Pet.
We're going to begin with Sasha, from the Santa Maria Valley Humane Society. Sasha is an attractive Queensland mix with gorgeous salt and pepper markings.
She is full of character and a typical, high energy cattle dog that would love to be with a family that will enjoy playing with her.
She is a year-old and will need some basic obedience training.
Next we have Domino, a 2-year-old black and white domestic cat who's been a guest of Woods Humane Society since December.
She is a beautiful cat with big round golden eyes, a fluffy black tail and very unusual markings on her face. Domino is a very sweet cat.
Sometimes she keeps to herself. Other times, Domino is very outgoing.
Either way, Domino is well worth the effort.
And finally there is Coal. There's no two ways about it, Coal is a jumbo-sized cat. It's likely he weighs at least twenty pounds.
Being so large, he'd love to have a home to wander around and a windowsill to lounge. For some reason, he's still being overlooked for adoption.
To help coal, a 35-dollar adoption-fee rebate is being offered at the San Luis Obispo County Animal Shelter.
