Your Family Pet: January 19, 2010

The rain is here. So just remember, there is a pet you can adopt that would love to curl up with you by the fireplace. It's time for Your Family Pet.
Let's start with Max. He's a one-year-old, high energy dog who needs some basic training. However, he does know some basic commands. He is used to going for 30 minute walks daily and going to the dog park a couple times a week.
Max is a Beagle/Terrier mix who previously lived with other dogs and children. He comes to us from the Santa Maria Valley Humane Society.
Next we have Kirby. He is a 2-year-old grey tabby who has been a guest of Woods Humane Society since October. Kirby is neutered, vaccinated, micro chipped, and litter box trained. He is a very handsome guy and is extremely friendly and outgoing.
He'll approach you for love, and if you sit down he's sure to take advantage of a little lap time. Kirby is very gentle so would be a great choice for a family with children.
And finally there is Muggins. He's currently at the San Luis Obispo County Animal Shelter. He is a handsome cat that's a pleasure to pet. An added plus is Muggins loves the attention.
Muggins came to the shelter because his owners could no longer keep him. So this people-loving cat is looking for a lifelong home once again.
