Dan Shadwell joined the KSBY News team in November 2011 and is thrilled at the chance to the work here on the Central Coast again. He spent most of his career in California before a short stint in Indianapolis, where he was the evening news anchor and reporter at WXIN-TV.

Dan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Colorado State University. He also studied Journalism at Metropolitan State College in Denver. After college, Dan served as Assistant News Director and Anchor at KREX-TV in Grand Junction Colorado. He then landed his first gig in California at KCOY-TV before moving to San Diego, where he was an anchor and reporter for KFMB-TV.

Dan's news career as an Anchor and Reporter spans more than a decade. Along the way, he's had the privilege of telling a wide variety of compelling stories, with interviews that have included Nobel Prize winners, well-known actors, writers, musicians, even a President.

In his free time, Dan enjoys boogie boarding, cycling, working out, traveling and wine tasting.
