The KSBY sports department has selected the top players in the area for our KSBY Central Coast Football Team. The selections were made based on performance during the season, including the playoffs.

The Mission Prep football team continues its quest for history and its first CIF title in the Northeast Division championship game against Rio Hondo Prep in Arcadia. The Atascadero High football team's Cinderella postseason run ended on Friday with a 37-6 loss to West Torrance in the CIF Northern Division semifinals. Lompoc's state best 32 game winning streak and the Braves season came to an end at the hands of Serra on Friday night. The team from Gardena won at Lompoc, 34-21. The Cavaliers advance to the Western Division championship game against Chaminade, the Braves finish 12-1.

The Mission Prep offense erupted for nearly 500 yards, while the defense made some clutch plays in the Royals' 54-26 CIF semifinal win over Salesian on Friday. Making their first semifinal appearance since 1962, the Royals built a 15-0 first quarter lead and never looked back.
