Richard Gearhart  |  Daybreak Anchor

Richard Gearhart is a native of the Central Coast. He begins his busy day early at KSBY where he co-anchors KSBY News Daybreak from 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. Richard also teaches journalism (in the Agriculture Department) at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo. Click here to learn more.

Bill Halter  |  Multimedia Journalist

Bill joined the KSBY News team in 2010 as Weekend Sports Anchor and Multi-Media Journalist from KFYR-TV in Bismarck, North Dakota where he was a sports anchor and reporter. Click here to learn more.

Dave Hovde  |  Chief Meteorologist

Dave is proud to have received three Golden Mike awards from the Radio and Television News Association of Southern California, for Best Weather Television Segment. He received the honor for weather presentations in 2003, 2006 and 2007. Click here to learn more.

Victoria Johnson  |  Multimedia Journalist

Victoria Johnson joined the KSBY News team in April 2013 as a Weekend Anchor and Multimedia Journalist after seven years flying in "Chopper 8" for KFMB-TV, the CBS affiliate in San Diego, where she delivered breaking news and traffic reports. Click here to learn more.

Kathy Kuretich  |  Anchor, Multimedia Journalist

Kathy Kuretich serves as a multimedia journalist for KSBY News. "I have a deep appreciation for the news industry and for the community which we serve. Bringing people together, and telling their stories is an honor and a responsibility I don't take lightly," she said. Click here to learn more.

Caroline Lowe  |  Santa Barbara County News Manager

Long-time, award-winning reporter Caroline Lowe joined the KSBY News team as Santa Barbara County News Manager in May 2011. In this role she manages the Santa Maria newsroom and also reports on stories throughout Santa Barbara County. Click here to learn more.

Keli Moore Multimedia Journalist

Keli Moore joined the KSBY News team in 2012 as a Multimedia Journalist. An Arizona native, Keli grew up in the beautiful red rock country of Sedona where she attended K-12th grade with almost all the same people. Click here to learn more

John Reger  |  Anchor

John Reger comes to KSBY from KION-TV, the CBS affiliate in Monterey, where he served as a primary anchor and reporter. He has also worked at network-affiliated stations in Minneapolis, Utah, Idaho, and South Dakota. Click here to learn more.

Matt SantaMaria  |  Sports Director

Matt SantaMaria (yes, that's his real name) is an award winning sports journalist who joined the KSBY News team in August 2013 as Sports Director. He was previously a sports anchor and reporter at KOLN-TV in Lincoln Nebraska and KSNF-TV in Joplin Missouri.  Click here to learn more. 

Dan Shadwell  |  Daybreak Anchor, Multimedia Journalist

Dan Shadwell joined the KSBY News team in November 2011 and is thrilled at the chance to work here on the Central Coast again. He spent most of his career in California before a short stint in Indianapolis, where he was the evening news anchor and reporter at WXIN-TV. Click here to learn more.

Connie Tran Multimedia Journalist

After spending weekends and holidays, relaxing and enjoying all the Central Coast has to offer, California native Connie Tran joined the KSBY News team in July of 2012 as a Multimedia Journalist. Prior to reporting for KSBY, Connie was a reporter/multimedia journalist for KBAK/KBFX, the CBS/Fox duopoly in Bakersfield. Click here to learn more

Jeanette Trompeter  |  Anchor

Award winning journalist Jeanette Trompeter joined the KSBY News team in January 2010 as co-anchor of the news at 5:00, 6:00, 6:30, 10:00 and 11:00 p.m. Jeanette was born in San Luis Obispo County and received her degree in Broadcast Journalism from Cal Poly. Click here to learn more.
