Righetti softball advances while others lose in second round

The Righetti softball team won 6-2 at Grand Terrace to advance to the third round of the Division-3 playoffs. Arroyo Grande tennis falls 5-2 to La Jolla in CIF Regionals

The Arroyo Grande High boys tennis team's CIF postseason run ended on Tuesday with a 5-2 loss at La Jolla in the first round of the So-Cal Regional.

San Francisco selected to host Super Bowl 50 in 2016

The San Francisco Bay Area was awarded hosting rights to Super Bowl L in 2016, while Houston will host Super Bowl LI in 2017. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell made the announcement in Boston on Tuesday.

NFL owners were deciding between San Francisco and Miami for the 50th Super Bowl.
