Who to call if you see wildlife in trouble due to oil spill

Posted: Updated:

California Fish & Wildlife officials said Tuesday that environmental scientists were on the scene of an oil spill off the coast of southern Santa Barbara County and experts in oiled wildlife were on their way.

They said there were no immediate reports of injured wildlife in the area.

So, who should you call if you see wildlife in trouble due to the oil spill? Officials said you should not touch the animals. Instead, immediately call the Oiled Wildlife Care Network at (877) 823-6926.
