A San Luis Obispo police officer arrested for suspected DUI is no longer with the department, officials tell KSBY.

Officer Travis Morris was placed on paid administrative leave following the September 9 incident where he was issued a misdemeanor citation after being stopped near the corner of Marsh and Garden streets in downtown San Luis Obispo.

Morris declined a breathalyzer test and opted for a blood test instead.

The California Highway Patrol told KSBY earlier this month it had already submitted its reports to the San Luis Obispo County District Attorney's Office. Officials there said, as of Monday, no charges have been filed against Morris.

San Luis Obispo police say Morris was no longer an employee of the department as of October 12, but would not elaborate on why or if it was in connection to the September incident, citing personnel matters.
