SLO MakerSpace opens new location

Posted: Updated:

SLO MakerSpace held an open house party today to celebrate their move to a larger location downtown on 81 Higuera Street, #160. Slo MakerSpace is a business that holds open workshops and idea laboratories where members and students can come to turn their projects and ideas into reality.

This larger space will allow for more workshops including classes to learn how to use 3d printers, the laser cutter, CNC router, and other machines.

SLO MakerSpace Founder and CEO, Clint Slaughter says "If you're a creative person or if you wanted to start projects then this is the perfect place to come. Not only do we have the equipment you can utilize to make anything you want but we have people you can come in and learn from and it's a really amazing collaborative community."

In addition to this move to the new location, SLO MakerSpace has started a collaboration with the San Luis Obispo County Library where library members can attend classes at the workshops .
