Lompoc Civic Theatre gears up for final performances of "Two Point Oh"

Posted: Updated:

The Lompoc Civic Theatre is gearing up for its final performances. The group has been putting on Two Point Oh for the past three weeks.

The play's director, Larry McLellan, says it is one of the best shows the Lompoc Civic Theatre has put together recently and is definitely thought-provoking.

McLellan's description of this play is, "Melanie Leeds, the wife of a brilliant software engineer, receives a disk in the mail containing a 'virtual iteration' of her late husband, which he had created prior to his sudden death. The actor playing 'Elliot 2.0' doesn't appear on stage, but he performs live and is broadcast through a video screen as he interacts with his shocked wife, his suspicious business partner, their foul-mouthed communications officer and an over-the-top host of a cable news show who chronicles the saga of Elliot Leeds."

The final performances take place Friday and Saturday, March 4 and 5, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Stone Pine Hall, 210 South H St. In Lompoc.

Tickets are available at the door and are $15 each. For more information, call (805) 735-2281.
