Fire crews will be working all night to contain a fire that started in a barn structure in rural Paso Robles and kept growing Thursday evening.

CAL FIRE said the fire broke out just before 8:00 p.m. in the hills and canyons off the 2700 block of Adelaida Road, west of Lake Nacimiento Drive, between Paso Robles and the lake.

Firefighters tell KSBY nine engines, six hand crews, two bulldozers and two water tenders were working to put out the fire, which is estimated to have grown to more than ten acres in size.

Crews from Atascadero, Templeton, Paso Robles and other fire departments were all on scene assisting CAL FIRE.

There are no mandatory evacuations, although some residents did leave their homes.

The folks at Alta Colina Vineyard and Winery, who sent in these photos, did not evacuate. Firefighters used the property's vantage point to direct crews on where the flames were heading early on.

Fire crews had no estimated time for containment Thursday night.
