Mrs. Claus flipped the switch on 35,000 lights in the Paso Robles Downtown City Park on Friday evening.

Eighteen trees in the park were illuminated during the annual Downtown Tree Lighting Ceremony.

Hundreds of people turned out for the event, which included free cookies and hot cocoa, as well as live music and caroling.

The trees are sponsored by local businesses and residents, helping raise money for Cancer Support Community-California Central Coast.

The trees will remain lit through February 12.
