The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office announced Thursday that it had made an arrest in connection to an armed robbery at a gas station in Nipomo last month.

At approximately 4:15 a.m. on November 4, an armed robbery was reported at the Chevron gas station on the 400 block of Tefft Street.

Sheriff's officials say witnesses told deputies a man wearing a black hoodie, black ski mask with a skull design, black shirt, and black gloves displayed a handgun and demanded money, cigarettes and lottery scratchers from the clerk. He then left the store on foot.

The Sheriff's Office says detectives have since identified two suspects in this case.

Reed Hoffman, 19, was arrested Wednesday afternoon at his home on the 300 block of South Oak Glen Avenue in Nipomo. He was booked into County Jail on suspicion of armed robbery.

Investigators are now looking for his roommate, 24-year-old Matthew Edward Martinez. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at (805) 781-4500.
