A man wanted in connection with an armed robbery at a Nipomo gas station in November was arrested late last month in Ventura County, according to the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies reportedly took 24-year-old Matthew Edward Martinez into custody at his parent's house in Oak View on December 29.

Investigators believe he entered the Chevron gas station on the 400 block of Tefft Street early in the morning on November 4 wearing a mask and carrying a handgun and demanded money, cigarettes, and lottery scratchers from the clerk.

Martinez faces a charge of armed robbery with a firearm enhancement. As of Tuesday afternoon, he was being held at San Luis Obispo County Jail in lieu of $130,000 bail.

A second suspect in the robbery, 19-year-old Reed Hoffman, was arrested at his home in Nipomo in early December.
