Go-Red promotes awareness for women's heart disease and stroke.

Friday's event was an educational fundraiser where one local keynote speaker shared her experience on how CPR saved her life. There were also CPR demonstrations.

"A chance to practice CPR, something that many of us haven't done in years, a chance to share that with five people and further this movement of life and Go Red," said Barbara Porcher of French Hospital Medical Center.

Local first responders attended the event as well.
