California Dollar General stores fined over environmental violations

Dollar General stores in California have been ordered to pay more than $1 million in a lawsuit over environmental violations.
          
An investigation revealed the stores were disposing and storing hazardous waste products all wrong over the past five years.

Santa Barbara's district attorney and 31 other California DA's announced the judge's order Monday.
     
There is one local Dollar General store in Lompoc.
     
There are plans for another in San Miguel.
