If you stayed at Holiday Inn hotels on the Central Coast recently, you may want to check your accounts.

The parent company of Holiday Inn, Intercontinental Hotel Group, says malware was active at the front desks of its hotels and customers' credit card information may have been stolen.

Hotels in Atascadero, Grover Beach, Lompoc, Santa Barbara and Solvang were affected.

The hacks happened between September 29 and December 29 of 2016.

The company says card numbers, expiration dates and verification codes were stolen.
