Winds the driving force for weather into next week

Posted: Updated:

This is common weather for April: breezy conditions and that'll be the case into next week.

NW winds this afternoon hit peaks for some past 30mph near the coast.  High pressure continues to strengthen into Saturday which will start producing night and morning offshore NE flow.  This will push temps up a bit into the 70s and lower 80s (mid-80s for some inland).  Most of the peak temps near the coast will happen in the early afternoon hours before winds make their daily turn to the NW.  The onshore will not be as strong over the weekend but does strengthen next week.  This will cool the highs a bit and reintroduce marine clouds and fog near the coast.

Models show rain chances in early May but with systems likely tracking north of us.
