Fire officials say seven structures, including one home, were destroyed in the Stone Fire that broke out Sunday east of Santa Margarita.

As of early Monday evening, the fire had burned 340 acres and was 85 percent contained. Firefighters expected full containment by late Monday or on Tuesday.

The fire started at about 1:50 p.m. Sunday off of Huer Huero Road.

Evacuations were ordered but have since been lifted and roads that were closed because of the fire are open to traffic again. People driving through the area are urged to be cautious and drive slowly because fire crews remain working in the area.

Fire officials say the other structures that burned include a shop, a barn, three trailers, and an outbuilding.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
