A salon in Santa Ynez will be offering free haircuts to firefighters for two days to express gratitude in between battling wildfires along the Central Coast.

Al Camarena, a KSBY viewer, posted this offer to our Facebook page:

Firefighters can come in from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on July 17 and July 24. The salon is located at 3583 Numanica Street in Santa Ynez.

The Whittier Fire broke out one week ago on July 8. About 17,364 acres have been burned, hundreds of people have been forced to evacuate, and fire officials say they have about a 35 percent containment on the situation.

The Alamo Fire is now 93 percent contained after torching 28,687 acres.
