Sheriff: Missing man's body found in Las Canovas Canyon

A body was found in the creek in Las Canovas Canyon, according to the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office. 

The sheriff's office says the report came in around 2 p.m. Deputies identified the man shortly after he was discovered as 57-year-old Eric "Sunny" Buttler, who was reported missing on June 28. 

His family has been notified. 

The circumstances surrounding his death were not made immediately available, however, the criminal investigations bureau is looking into the cause of death.
