Crews gained even more containment of the Alamo Fire overnight, bringing the total now to 95 percent.

Sunday morning, 990 personnel were still assigned to the blaze, which broke out the afternoon of July 6 off Highway 166 at the east end of Twitchell Reservoir and has blackened 28,687 acres.

All evacuation orders have been lifted in the area, but fire officials urge residents to still use caution when driving in the area and urge anyone who sees significant smoke to call 911.

Highway 166 is open.

The fire burned one home and another structure. The cause remains under investigation.

Full containment is expected by July 22.

No injuries have been reported.
