Drivers of the Gaviota pass will run into major delays for about a month.
A guardrail project on Highway 101 southbound in Gaviota will close the right-hand lane for four weeks.
Cal Trans says crews will be replacing the metal beam guardrail with a concrete barrier from the Highway 1 interchange to just north of the Gaviota rest area.
The right-hand lane will close at 8:00 a.m. Monday and remain closed 24/7 until the project is completed.
Cal Trans warns drivers to expect delays and give yourself extra time if you plan to drive through the area.
