A man was killed in a rollover crash Monday morning near Santa Maria, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
The crash was first reported at about 6:25 a.m. at Brown Road near Betteravia Road.
Fire officials say the 22-year-old driver from Santa Maria was heading east on Brown Road at an unknown speed when his 2002 Pontiac Firebird went of the side of the road, rolled and landed on its roof.
California Highway Patrol officers say the man was not wearing a seatbelt and was partially ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
No one else was in the car and no other vehicles were involved.
One lane was reportedly closed down in the area while crews were on scene.
CHP says, at this time, drugs or alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash.
