Sunday Paso Robles hit 108 degrees, Monday will be warm as well but falling a few degrees short. That minor cooling trend continues into this week when most of the highs in the interior valleys will hit the mid to upper 90s. The reason for the cooling is the upper-level ridge is sliding off to the east while SW flow aloft in the mid-level of the atmosphere supports temps closer to average (which is about 93 in the interior valleys).
Coastal Valley temps will also return to near average this week in the upper 70s to near 80 degrees. Some night and morning marine clouds with afternoon clearing. Cool beaches in the mid 69s to 70 and warmer beaches in the middle 70s. The afternoon breeze looks to be about 15mph each day.
Temps should push back to near 100 for the first weekend of the Mid State Fair in Paso Robles.
