Boys & Girls Club kids get backpacks full of school supplies

Posted: Updated:

Kids from the Boys and Girls Club of South San Luis Obispo County will be starting the school year with stuffed backpacks.

Pismo Beach Kiwanis and the Arroyo Grande Rotary Club donated over 250 backpacks filled with school supplies such as folders, pencils, glue, and paper. The backpacks were presented to the students Thursday at Grover Heights Elementary School.

This is the second year the Boys and Girls Club partnered with the two organizations for the event. There were 100 more backpacks distributed to students, compared to last year.
