Our Stuff the Bus school supply drive moved into Santa Barbara County Friday.
Volunteers accepted donated crayons, lunch boxes, and more at the Santa Maria Walmart.
"The pencils, the pens, the erasers, the paper, backpacks, of course, which is a high item but, you know, we need a lot of them so it'd be wonderful to have those coming in, too," said Dorothy Mogavero, the director of Impact Initiatives - Northern Santa Barbara County United Way.
You can make donations through the weekend at Walmart in Santa Maria, Lompoc, Arroyo Grande and Paso Robles. KMart in Atascadero, Staples in San Luis Obispo and Cookie Crock Market in Cambria are also participating.
All of the supplies are collected by United Way of San Luis Obispo County and Northern Santa Barbara County. United Way will take the supplies and deliver them to local school districts who then, in turn, deliver them to students in need of supplies.
