2017 FNH Preview: Atascadero adjusts core elements

Posted: Updated:

The Atascadero High School football program finished the 2016 season going 5-5 overall and 2-2 in the PAC-5 for third place.

Head coach Vic Cooper explains the Greyhounds have core elements to have a better year this season. "Our strength is probably on the offense and defensive line early. Right now we've got a good stable of running backs. We've got some really good leadership," Cooper said.

"Last year we ended on a two game losing streak. Lost to AG and Paso. Never a good thing," said Alex Cooper, Greyhounds senior tackle. "We are going to take that and say we could have beat them and this year we're going to come out and we're going to beat them."

The Greyhounds first game will be at home against Foothill on August 25.
