Local men's basketball league attracting experienced players

Posted: Updated:

Kennedy Club Fitness of San Luis Obispo just wrapped up its men's league basketball season.

This summer stood out in particular due to its high level of competition, attracting players with resumes including leagues like the NCAA, NBA and FIBA.

With a final score of 74-70, the competitive championship game featured Cal Poly Basketball alumni Ridge Shipley. After joining the team mid-season, he says it's "a good league to be in" with the opportunity to "really compete."

Beyond basketball, the league offers post-game happy hours and a chance to socialize and bring your family.

While this league is for ages 18+, there are a variety of leagues across the Central Coast that cater to your experience and commitment. Check your nearby parks and recreation department website for their registration information.
