A 27-year-old Sacramento man pleaded guilty Friday to human trafficking charges from an operation put on by the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office in June.

The District Attorney's Office says Johnnie Jingles-Williams was sentenced to three years in prison for felony counts of pimping and pandering.

Jingles-Williams changed his plea just before opening statements in his jury trial were set to begin. There was no plea agreement in this case, according to the D.A.

"The successful underlying investigation was part of an ongoing effort to combat human trafficking in Santa Barbara County," said Santa Barbara County District Attorney Joyce Dudley.
