6 things to do this weekend on the Central Coast

Looking for something fun to do this weekend? Here are some of the events happening around the Central Coast:

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 9

Sheriff's Family Day at the Ranch
9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Madonna Meadows, Madonna Inn, San Luis Obispo
Hosted by the San Luis Obispo Sheriff's Advisory Foundation, the event includes a display of equipment, safety demonstrations, and a chance for the public to learn about the role of local law enforcement.

Fall Family Fun Fest
11 a.m - 3 p.m.
Centennial Park, 600 Nickerson Drive, Paso Robles
Sample classes offered by the city's recreation department, including family yoga, Zumba, cartooning, line dancing, dog training, Kindermusik, and more. Representatives from the fire and police departments will display their equipment. The event will also include hot dogs, popcorn, pumpkin orange slushies, games, art activities, and balloons.
Free event.

Mid-State Moto Mania
Noon - gates open
3 p.m. - racing begins
Paso Robles Event Center, 2198 Riverside Avenue, Paso Robles
The event includes 40 short track motorcycle races in multiple categories, plus a vintage motorcycle show. A live band will perform at 6 p.m.
Tickets: $15 for adults; $10 for children ages 6-11; children 5 and under are free; $25 for pit passes.

SATURDAY - SUNDAY

11th Annual Dog Splash Days
10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Templeton Community Pool, corner of Old Country Road and 6th Street
The Templeton pool is open for one last weekend of summer fun for dogs only to splash and play. Dogs must be five months or older and adult male dogs must be neutered. Proof of rabies vaccination is also required.
Admission: $20 per dog; pre-registration is recommended because sessions sell out quickly.

Renaissance Faire
10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Ken Adam Park, Hancock Drive and Highway 1, Lompoc
Held for the first time in Lompoc, the event will include multiple vendors, entertainers dressed in period costume including jugglers, comics, puppets and more, plus food and drink for purchase.
Tickets: $12 for adults; $8 for children ages 5-11; $10 for seniors 62+, military and law enforcement; children under 5 are free.

Sea Glass & Ocean Arts Festival
10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Earl Warren Showgrounds, 3400 Calle Real, Santa Barbara
The festival showcases handmade sea glass jewelry and ocean-themed art, featuring creations by dozens of artists from across the country. Educational presentations, live music, raffles, contests, and giveaways are also planned.
Tickets: $5-$15
