Brand new scoreboard shows Hancock 21, East Los Angeles 13

The Allan Hancock College football program picked up its first win of the 2017 season as they beat East Los Angeles 21-13 in front of a home crowd and a brand new scoreboard.

The Bulldogs struck first as Righetti grad, Jordan Pollard, knocked home a 26 yard field goal to make it 3-0 in the 1st quarter. AHC was back at it again in the 2nd quarter when Jimmy Kelleher hit Dominic Chance for the nine yard touchdown. The Bulldogs got out to a 10-0 advantage.

After an interception by the Huskies' Raeshawn Roland, East Los Angeles got right back into it as Phillip Tran connected with Kenny Allen for the eight yard score to make it 10-6.

With six seconds left in the first half, Pollard tallied three more points for Hancock on a 19 yard field goal to make it 13-6 at the break.

The Bulldogs never looked back in the second half as they went on to win by a final score of 21-13.

Quarterback Jimmy Kelleher finished his day 14-27 for 181 yards, one touchdown, and one interception for Hancock. Kevin Stark lead the way on the ground with 49 yards on six carries.

Allan Hancock College returns to action next Saturday as they host Pasadena City at 2:00pm in Santa Maria.
