The city of Grover Beach remembered the victims of September 11 attacks at a special ceremony on Monday.

Throughout Sunday and Monday, Ramona Garden Park featured a public display of photos, memorabilia and artwork in remembrance of the September 11, 2001 attacks in which more than 3,000 people were killed at the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon near Washington, D.C. and at the site of another plane crash in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. The display concluded with a ceremony at 6 p.m. Monday.

"We want to remind all of those who come after us a precious price that we pay for our freedom and our great nation," said Grover Beach Police Chief John Peters.
