Slurry seal roadwork in Santa Maria will be causing delays for some motorists this Thursday and Friday.

City officials say north Depot Street from west Fesler to west Alvin Avenue will be getting a slurry seal roadway treatment that is meant to prolong the life of paved roadways.

This process takes about 30 to 60 minutes for it to dry, so sections of the roadway will have similar delays throughout the two days.

Driveways along Depot Street will be inaccessible during construction.
