1 person killed in mobile home fire

Posted: Updated:

One person was killed in an early morning mobile home fire on the Nipomo Mesa on Monday.

It happened at about 5:30 a.m. on the 1100 block of Mesa View Drive.

CAL FIRE says the mobile home was located behind a ranch house. It was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived at the scene.

"They did have some access issues with the driveways and power lines, that took a little bit longer, but the thing was fully involved when they got on scene," said CAL FIRE PIO Chris Elms.

One person inside the mobile home was killed. A renter of the house on the property said that person was the son of the landlord.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
