Santa Maria will travel to Santa Ynez Friday night to take on the undefeated Pirates. The match up is our Week 5 'FNH Game of the Week'.

The Saints are coming off a heartbreaking loss to rival Pioneer Valley last week, 32-28. Santa Maria's overall record is now 2-3. Santa Maria has not lacked in the scoring department. Behind dual-threat quarterback Blake Truhitte, the Saints' offense is averaging over 30 points per game.

Santa Maria knows it'll have its work cut out on Friday night against the 4-0 Pirates.

"Santa Ynez is a very good football team," Saints head coach Dan Ellington said. "Offensively, they're explosive. Defensively, they get after it. It's going to be a big challenge for us. You know they have the two big receivers and our goal is to try and slow them down, and see what our defensive line do as far as defending their run."

"To get prepared to beat them, we just have to execute our tasks," Saints safety Diego Villagran added. "We have one job on the field and we just have to execute to get a result and hopefully be victorious."

Our Week 5 'Game of the Week' between Santa Maria and Santa Ynez will kick off at 7:00pm Friday night.
