It was a back-and-forth second set until, tied at 15, Cal Poly scored three straight points to up 18-15. They would finish the set 10-5 and win 25-20. Torrey Van Winden had 7 of her 16 kills in the second set.

The Matadors (9-7, 3-1) took an early 5-1 lead to begin the third set. Down 13-10, the Mustangs would score six straight points to go up 16-13. They would not look back from there and would go on to win the set 25-20 to win the match.

Junior outside hitter Adlee Van Winden posted seven kills and three aces. Seniors Savannah Niemen and Raeann Greisen also added seven kills apiece. Senior setter Taylor Nelson finished with a match-high 35 assists and junior libero Katherine Brouker led the Mustangs in digs with 10.
