Man accused in fatal Chinatown stabbings to stand trial

LOS ANGELES (AP) - A California judge has ordered trial for a man accused of stabbing two people to death in the Chinatown neighborhood of Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Times reports (http://lat.ms/2yYsBwk ) Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor ruled Tuesday that there's sufficient evidence to try 37-year-old Vinh Dao after three witnesses offered testimony.

Kim Yun and Tony Young died following the attacks at a social club in January.

Dao has been charged with two counts of murder and could be sentenced to life in prison if convicted.

His arraignment is scheduled for Oct. 17.
