The Rucker Fire, which broke out last week in the Mission Hills area near Lompoc, is 100 percent contained as of Thursday morning, according to CAL FIRE.

The fire started on the afternoon of Sept. 29 and burned a total of 444 acres.

It was made up of as many as a dozen initially small fires along Purisima Road and Harris Grade.

Fire investigators reportedly found several pieces of catalytic converter along the sides of the roads. They say the blaze was caused by a malfunctioning vehicle.
