Five people arrested in connection with Santa Barbara gang investigation

The Santa Barbara Police Department on Friday announced the arrests of five people suspected of dealing drugs.

The arrests came as a result of an investigation into the Santa Barbara Eastside Gang. Investigators say they seized cocaine, methamphetamine, and thousands of dollars during the investigation, and on Wednesday, Oct. 4, they arrested the following people:

  • Sergio Diaz, 36, of Santa Barbara - indicted on federal charges of distribution of cocaine
  • Javier Zamudio, 32, of Santa Barbara - charged locally with sales of cocaine and participation in a criminal street gang  
  • Adrian Alejandre, 29, of Santa Barbara - indicted on federal charges of distribution of methamphetamine  
  • Dennis Cummings, 22, of Lompoc - indicted on federal charges of conspiracy and distribution of methamphetamine  
  • Robert Sullivan-Seher, 48, of Lompoc - indicted on federal charges of conspiracy and distribution of methamphetamine

The Santa Barbara Police Department worked with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms on this investigation.
