Morro Bay High School unveils new aquatic center

Posted: Updated:

Morro Bay High School unveiled its new aquatic center Friday afternoon. They had a full day including a ceremony, site tour, athlete autographs, and players from the USA Women's National Water Polo team jumping in for a team practice.

The milestone was funded by Measure D and it finally gave the Pirates an opportunity to call a pool their very own.

"I know it's been a long time coming," said Adam Krikorian, head coach of USA Women's Water Polo. "From what I understand, 20 years. For us, as a team and program, we always get incredibly excited when you hear about a new pool coming in and going into works."
