Hundreds participate in City to Sea races

Posted: Updated:

Hundreds gathered for the annual City to the Sea event.

Participants chose from a half-marathon or a 5k race. There was also a kids' fun run.

Runners in the half- marathon started in Downtown San Luis Obispo bright and early, and ended at Dinosaur Caves Park in Shell Beach.

"You know, we're all in this together," said David Kline, a half-marathon runner. "We're all out there doing the same thing, hitting the pavement hard and having a good time."

Since 1995, the race has been raising money for the track and field and cross-country teams at Cuesta College.
