An artist from Atascadero is inviting the public to help her paint a downtown mural this weekend.
Heather Millenaar will be illustrating the early history of the Women's Republic of Atascadero on the old Founders Community Bank building -- now home to the Zappas La Plaza office and Patterson Realty.
Millenaar is opening the project up to the public on Sunday, October 15.
"We're hoping to make this a big social community event," said Millenaar, who recently won in a contest to paint one of two murals near El Camino Real and Traffic Way.
You can help bring the wall to life Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 6100 El Camino Real.
