Cal Poly men's basketball fans will receive their first look at the 2017-18 Mustang squad on Saturday, Oct. 14 as the program hosts its annual Green versus Gold intrasquad matchup inside Mott Athletics Center at 4:30 p.m.

Cal Poly's 15-player roster will be divided into two squads for the game, which is scheduled to consist of two 30-minute periods. Cal Poly's annual dunk contest will follow the matchup.

Preceding the Green versus Gold intrasquad game will be a free youth clinic for players ranging in grade six and under. The clinic begins at 3 p.m. There is no registration for the clinic, but director of operations Jeremy Jauregui can be reached with any questions at 805-756-6344 or jjauregu@calpoly.edu.

Cal Poly, which ranked 20th among NCAA Division I programs last season with just 10.7 turnovers per game, returns three starters and eight letterwinners from last year's squad.

Following the Green versus Gold game, Cal Poly will host Division II Cal State East Bay in a 7 p.m. exhibition on Thursday, Nov. 2.

The Mustangs open the regular season at Stanford (Friday, Nov. 10) and California (Sunday, Nov. 12). Both games will be televised nationally on Pac-12 Networks.
