The City of Lompoc is asking its residents to "Make A Difference" in their community this weekend.
Make A Difference Day is Saturday, Oct. 28 in Lompoc. The city's Parks Division is hosting a day of service from 9 a.m. to noon.
Volunteers will meet at the City of Lompoc Corporate Yard, located at 1300 W. Laurel Avenue, then head out to project sites around the city.
Projects may include painting, planting, weeding, litter and debris removal, repairs, and other tasks.
Those who participate will receive a free lunch.
