Family-friendly Halloween events on the Central Coast

Posted: Updated:

From Atascadero to Arroyo Grande, there are plenty of family-friendly activities this Halloween. Here's a look at some of the happenings on the Central Coast.

Arroyo Grande

Kids can trick-or-treat at local shops in the Village of Arroyo Grande from 3-5 p.m. Tuesday.

Atascadero

The Atascadero Downtown Colony District is having its annual Safe Trick or Treat on Entrada Halloween event Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. with more than 30 stops and a hay maze. Kids up to age 14 can enter a costume contest at 6:30 p.m. Pets don't have to stay at home either -- there's also a costume contest at 6 p.m. for furry friends.

Lompoc

Lompoc Foursquare Church is hosting a family-friendly block party that's described as an alternative to Halloween. The free event goes from 5:30-8:30 p.m. and includes candy, games and costume contests. Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase.

Pismo Beach

Pismo Beach Premium Outlets is inviting the family out for trick-or-treating from 4-6 p.m. Kids can show off their costumes and get treats from participating shops. There will be a costume contest at 5 p.m. and parents can enjoy coffee and donuts.

San Luis Obispo

SLOnaz Church will put on its annual Trunk or Treat event with up to 20 themed cars and trucks from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. Head to the corner of Southwood Drive and Johnson Avenue for games, food, music and candy. Admission is free.
