Central Coast's Abu Danladi named finalist for MLS Rookie of the Year

Former Dunn School soccer player Abu Danladi has been named a finalist for the 2017 MLS Rookie of the Year award.

Danladi led all rookies in the league with eight total goals this season including four match-winners, also a league-high among rookies. In addition, Danladi was second on his team in goals, while also tallying 37 shots throughout the season.

The forward was selected first overall by Minnesota in this year's 2017 MLS SuperDraft after three seasons at UCLA.

His match-winning goal against Montreal is also up for Goal of the Year, which fans can vote for on mlssoccer.com.

Danladi is one of three finalists for the Rookie of the Year award, the winner of which will be announced on Wednesday, November 8.
